Monica Trinidad (she/her) is a queer, Latinx artist & organizer, born & raised on the Southeast Side of Chicago. She is a co-founder of Brown & Proud Press, For the People Artists Collective and People’s Response Team, and is an emerging member of justseeds artists cooperative. Monica was one of eight young organizers & activists of color (alongside Page!) who traveled to Geneva, Switzerland in 2014 to present a report on police violence in Chicago to the United Nations Committee Against Torture with We Charge Genocide.
Monica has created movement art for dozens upon dozens of grassroots organizations and efforts in Chicago and across the country. Her work is in permanent collection at the DuSable Museum, and has been shown at the Hull-House Museum, Smart Museum, and the National Museum of Mexican Art. Her day job is with the feminist activist fund, Third Wave, as their Communications Officer.
